I applied through college or university. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at W. L. Gore & Associates
Interview
I applied online for their new graduate positions and had an on-campus interview. The interview was with two individuals. They asked insightful questions based on my resume to delve deeper into my skills and how I react in various situations. Some of their questions, however, were extremely open ended (i.e. describe something technical).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me to describe a time when I "got my hands dirty." I didn't really know what they meant - whether building something or being involved in all the steps of a project (e.g. a grunt). They didn't really clarify and said anything was good...they didn't really mean it.

Interview
There was a lag between application and feedback to scheduled an interview. The process was long and resulted in a panel
Interview with very well mannered, friendly, and professional personnel. Enjoyed speaking and asking questions to get their insight into the position and who they wanted to fill the role. Seems like a lovely place to work at.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at W. L. Gore & Associates in Jan 2023
Interview
Pre-screen call with HR. 3 rounds of pairs of interviewers from multiple functions that lasted approximately 3 hours. Lot of behavioral questions “tell me about a time”. The interview was conducted remotely through Teams.

It was long and not related to the job itself but was more related to the culture. This was fine but it was weird in hind sight because no one actually followed the culture. It is for show and marketing and not the reality of this place. Gore is more old-fashioned socially and in terms of technology than any other company I have worked for my entire career. This place is a dinosaur. I would not work here again, even if they did pay competitively. FYI, they don't. Do not expect to get an offer that reflects your experience if you are an experienced professional.
