They actually moved pretty quickly in reaching out to me and setting up a screening. After that it was 1 interview a week, three total. It seemed very promising, the first two interviews went well; the third I felt like there wasn't an easy flow or strong report but it wasn't bad. That one also had more of the "give us an example of when you came across xyz problem" type questions, which sort of interrupt that flow.
Two weeks and two follow ups later I was told I was rejected because I didn't have enough experience. I have two decades of experience and many accomplishments, so I'd love to hear the actual reason, as it felt really promising and I really liked the team and the culture of the company so I'm pretty bummed. It's rough getting turned down just for them to keep looking.
