I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Walmart Global Tech (Bentonville, AR) in Sep 2024
Interview
I interviewed at Walmart Global Tech for a Product Manager role, and after the initial prescreening, I had a panel interview with the hiring managers, which I thought went really well. I shared my experiences using the STAR methodology, blending technical skills, leadership, and job-relevant answers. But after that, I was left in limbo for two months with no communication. Despite repeatedly following up, I received no updates or feedback, only to eventually be rejected.
It became clear that their decision was not based on my qualifications but on my ethnicity and nationality. They made it clear—though never directly—that they were looking to hire a candidate from the U.S. for this managerial role, unwilling to sponsor someone international. The whole experience was disheartening and left me feeling both frustrated and deeply hurt. It made me feel the non-inclusivity of the organization. Their lack of transparency and the cold, unwelcoming attitude throughout the process left a lasting sting, especially when they refused to provide any meaningful feedback after all that time.

One with the hiring manager as a phone interview, one with with some of the team, then the hiring manager and 2 others from the team, and final interview with the director.
