Applied online and got an email from a contractor recruiter to set up a phone screening. The recruiter started the phone call with salary expectations which I very much appreciated because what the job budgeted was too low for the job description: 40-50k. I immediately declined and appreciated the recruiter for being straightforward. The recruiter said to stay in touch if I find any openings of interest.
