I received a phone interview request a few weeks after I applied online. On the day of the phone interview, the recruiter emailed me saying she’ll be calling in 5 minutes after the scheduled time because she was running behind. Once she finally called me 20 minutes later, I thought the interview was pleasant and she told me she’d be reaching out to schedule the next steps in two days. She told me exactly what the next steps would be too which I felt was strange after I didn’t hear from her so I followed up and still nothing. I then received an automated email a week later that I am no longer being considered. I really didn’t appreciate the false hope from the recruiter and not hearing from her directly that they decided to move on with other candidates.
