Absolutely treacherous and disturbing. My main concern was that this company is trying to hire college grads for $14/hr. Appalling. I was accepted for an assessment and video interview - the assessment was just like any other occupational assessment - except timed. Basically, just reading graphs and selecting the script you would use in a phone call scenario. Entirely too long. The assessment is more like a rollercoaster - you go from a timed session to an untimed session, to a timed session, to an untimed session, etc. etc. I found it demeaning to a position that requires a 4-year college education.
Then comes the JOBVITE video interview. I ..... There is ...... No words.
I have worked for an occupational assessment company before, so I suppose I come from a bit bias standpoint, but I think these "pre-employment" assessments come across as being those types of "scam jobs" or just another company hiring another company to do their work. I'm not saying this one was a scam, I'm just hoping someone will read this and know that these assessments are merely a partnership of the company they are applying for. Think about that. This company wants to hire someone to hire someone.
And the $14/hr. tho.
The best part - I didn't even get to the video interview. After all this, I ended up having to submit a ticket to JobVite to fix my problem. You're not going to like the solution - my computer was upgraded to a higher version they didn't support. Again..... I ............ there is no words.
