Was contacted by a recruiter for WebMD, whom I had a 1:1 phone conversation with, followed by a phone call with an editorial director, which will determine if you will come in for an in-person interview or not. Both were very pleasant and I was invited for an interview with 3 editorial staffers (separately). The first interview with one of the editors was very pleasant and easy-going. However, it went a bit sour afterwards when I met with the editorial director and spoke on intercom with the VP of Editorial Services. The last interview with the VP of Editorial Services felt like a nitpicking/intervention of my background and skills with a lot of trick questions, and I did not feel comfortable one bit. At the end of the interview, she had already made her decision about me. For a technical role, I learned of different duties an Associate Editor would have from each interviewer, so I didn't fully grasp what the role entails. The people I met/spoke with were very nice, however, I feel as if you need to be immersed/have a grasp in the medical industry to truly have a feel for what the company does.
