This, along with the "tell me about yourself", is a very broad open-ended question. I answered the question tailored to the position I was interviewing for while throwing in key words like: manufacturing, LEAN principles, control systems and design...etc. I also mentioned that I had an interest in other fields but I talked to someone who works in the same industry and then got excited about it. Something about how they thought my skills could be heavily utilized in the same field.
