I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Whatnot in Feb 2023
Interview
Poor experience. Was told by the Partnerships recruiter that I would be getting through to the next round of interviews. She followed up several days later saying they decided not to move forward with no explanation but told me to continue applying for roles for which I was a fit. It was unclear based on the feedback whether they considered me a fit for the role for which I had already interviewed. Based on that experience, I don't take the recruiting team at this company seriously and won't be interested in dealing with them again. I encourage experienced professionals to look elsewhere.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What are you looking for in your next role? What is your expected salary range? (Comp range was not provided in the job description)
Provided no feedback during or after the interview process. Thought it went well but sent and update that I wasnt what they were looking for without further explanation. Dont reccomend at all.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Whatnot in Apr 2026
Interview
5 rounds of interviews including a case study. For the case, you are given a couple of days to complete it, and if they approve it, you present it to members of the team. After that, there were two principles-based interviews. The whole process took about a month. They made it smooth and were transparent throughout the whole process.
I applied online. I interviewed at Whatnot in Mar 2026
Interview
5 rounds (2 separate presentations where I gave them many business ideas) and 3 references submitted. They then had to pause hiring due to lack of funds. Then they picked another candidate, even though they originally intended to hire a full cohort. I asked for feedback multiple times and they would not respond which is ironic given how many times they stressed that feedback is a key company value. The interviews were pretty average and the recruiter was organized. However, the company felt disorganized in their hiring process and I think the ending was poor form.
