I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Whatnot in Jan 2024
Interview
The interview process was way too long. Almost 6 + rounds and case study which you create an actual product brief. i got all the way to the last round and didn't get the role
I completed multiple interviews, meeting with two different product managers, an engineering manager, and another team member for culture discussions. Each session lasted a minimum of forty-five minutes in length.

The interview process was exceptionally clear, organized, and seamless from start to finish. I greatly appreciated how responsive and attentive the recruiting team was—communication was proactive, instructions were straightforward, and the scheduling was handled efficiently. Every interview began and concluded promptly as planned, demonstrating respect for everyone's time and professionalism. Overall, it was an impressive and positive experience, reflecting very positively on the company's culture and values.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Whatnot in Feb 2025
Interview
Long, unorganized, unclear job description and falsified feedback.
Went through 3 rounds and despite the unclear JD, had productive interviews with acknowledged 2 way conversations and positive discussions.
The decision was a no and this economy is rough so I get it however the feedback was inconsistent and after speaking with an insider, I found out they lied about the interview feedback for me since the wanted someone younger and better looking.
I don't work in sales and my role is more of an IC (and I'm not even in my 40s nor out of shape, if you all want to hire someone on your team for the take of flirting with........ you need some serious therapy) can't believe this is still something in 2025 but whatever.... better to avoid such folks and such a horrible culture.
