First off it took 1 month for them to reach out after I applied. But it starts with a recorded video interview (3 questions on why you want to work for Whatnot, what makes you the best fit, and what work is most exciting for you), then a hiring manager screen with the standard background questions covering why you're interested and what you'd improve about the product (make sure you download the app beforehand to come up with some ideas)! Ultimately the team will review the recordings of the call and get back to you in a "few days" but it took 3 weeks for them to send a rejection email which is very disrespectful as they clearly don't value candidates' time (other startups will send next steps or rejection within a couple days). This happened to my friend a few months ago as well after he interviewed with Whatnot. Very unorganized and unprofessional recruiting team. Ultimately if you do move forward though you'd be talking to a hiring manager and presenting a case to the team. I have 3 friends that work here and they say the culture is intense, not much work-life balance, but they really enjoy it as it's exciting to build a whole new shopping category/market from scratch as a Partnerships Associate!
