I applied through college or university. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Whiting-Turner (Irvine, CA) in Dec 2015
Interview
Whiting-Turner came to my campus for a information session which they followed with interviews for those who were interested in applying for FE/PE positions. After the initial screen, I was invited to a round-robin style interview at their Irvine office. I was interviewed by three project managers and each interviewer had a unique style of interviewing. After a week had passed from the second round of interviews, I received an offer letter.

Multiple rounds in the same day. They take you to lunch and do a jobsite tour. Met with a bunch of different people and it was a really cool interactive experience.

Question 1
How to handle differentiating options in the field
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Whiting-Turner (New Haven, CT)
Interview
They mostly are interested on how you are as a person. In my experience, the focus a lot on getting to know what I have done (nothing technical). The interview was pretty long but it was nice that they explained a lot about the company, etc.
