I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Whole Foods Market (Wellesley, MA) in Oct 2012
Interview
My friend who worked in the Bakery department spoke with her Team Leader and got me an interview with him. Their questions seemed to focus mostly on costumer service, and situational questions. I sat with the Team Leader in the customer community area and he asked his questions and went over my information, and then he called over one of the Assistant Store Team Leaders, who asked a few questions of his own. Once the ASTL was done and gave his approval, I was hired! It took less than a week for my background check to go through, and then I was ready to start (I did the rest of my paperwork on my first day, such as taxes).

Question 1
"What was your most difficult customer experience, and how did you handle that difficult customer so that they left with a smile?"
It was a pretty easy process. I applied online, and I believe I got an interview a week or 2 after. I got interviewed by the ATL and the TL, and they asked me questions about my experience.
Fairly easy. Just asked about schedule (what days you can work and if you have any vacations coming up) and if there was any prior experience. Didn’t ask very many difficult questions

Question 1
What days are you available to work? Any vacations coming up?
VERY quick. It was a phone interview and the manager just asked "Why Whole Foods?" I had an answer prepared and he almost cut me off after my first sentence. I don't think he actually cared about my answer.
