Applied online and set up my first interview pretty quickly. My first interview was very positive. It was not with who they said it would be, but the ATL they sent was very informative. She asked a lot of questions, explained the job, the hours and times. I asked a lot of questions. I asked about movement opportunities. I did learn that one of their PT employees, who wanted a FT opportunity in another dept bc she wanted to try/learn a new skill. But, couldn't come back due to her newly FT status. My desire pay was not mentioned. My second interview was not good. It was with the STL, TL, and the same ATL. They asked how would I handle problems with other employees and a customer service question. The STL asked about the companies I used to work for. He asked about the culture at my last company. No questions about what I did at any of these places. My last job was similar to WFM. The TL asked a few final questions. She was brusque and to the point. First, she asked if I’d be looking for a FT role once hired. I found it to be rude. I am sure she has some issues about losing that employee to FT. She said the hours were at least one shift less than what I was told at the first interview. And the position was Level 1 and everyone starts at $16/hr--and my desired pay and experience was disregarded. The next day, I got a rejection email, TBH, I was so put-off by the question asking me if I would look for FT hours.
A month later, I decided to apply to the SAME position at a different location (starting pay was more). I got an interview. Met with the TL. Such a different interview. He asked me about myself and we got into a great conversation about me, WF, the job, the expectations, what they were looking for. No stupid questions about how I would handle things with employees, why Whole foods. This guy understood why ppl are looking for work. We spoke for 50 mins. He called me a couple of hours later and offered me the job.
