Wiley Senior Associate interview questions

Interview process was straightforward. A phone screen with a recruiter and then a Teams interview with hiring manager. A week and a half later, I received the Dear John saying they were moving on with "a candidate with a more similar background" than mine, despite the job being reposted that day. The negative rating comes from the dishonesty behind the rejection. They were not proceeding with another candidate, they were looking for new candidates and more accurate feedback would have been appreciated, especially given my successful track record in the industry.
