I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Workday (New York, NY) in May 2015
Interview
2 Interviews, 1 about your experience (They want to feel your enthusiasm) and is meant to take about 30 minutes. We initially focused on my major, and why I want to work at Workday, but we quickly shifted to talking about our interests, and he started telling me about himself too. They are very friendly and try to make you feel as comfortable as possible. The other was a bunch of logical/reasoning questions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
You are in a room with 2 iron rods, 1 is magnetized, the other one isn't. There are no other metals in the room. How do you figure out which one is magnetized.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Workday in Mar 2022
Interview
- UML Diagramming (Object Oriented Programming, classes, attributes, relationships) and Improving model question (how to simplify existing relationships, minimize the methods and attributes, cardinality, etc.)
- behavioral HR interview about technical experience and personal background
I first had a phone call that was mostly behavioral to talk about the company, the position, and my qualifications. I later went on-site that consisted of 5 interviews. Everyone I talked to was friendly and sincerely seemed to enjoy what they were doing there. It was a laid-back interview process for the most part.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Workday
Interview
3 stage interview.
1. Phone interview with HR
2. Tech test - UML modelling problem. Conducted over a screen sharing application.
3. On-site with 3 separate interviewers from different teams/areas.
Overall interview process was very good compared to some others. Prompt responses and feedback from recruitment.
