It took several weeks and involved a lot of people but that's nothing out of the ordinary with modern companies and their interview processes. The only strange thing from my perspective was that I met with the hiring manager very early in the process, but not again over the following six weeks or so as I progressed to the final round. I'm sure they have good reasons but I found it strange. A former colleague also worked at Workhuman recently and speculated that the HM may have been kept out of the process as he's not well-liked by other members of the larger marketing team, who might have wanted to find someone that was deemed suitable by the group ahead of what the HM's preference was. I thought he seemed like a good person and I enjoyed meeting him as well as the rest of the interviewees I met. Regardless, it didn't work out for me anyway but it was as good a process as I can imagine it can be when the outcome is negative. Plenty of clarity, communication and updates throughout so I was never left hanging. One slight negative at the end was that despite making the final round and being in the process for 6-7 weeks, no real feedback r explanation was provided for why the other candidate was a better fit.
