Interview
I applied for the Customer Success Manager and was immediately reached out to by one member of the Talent acquisition team for a phone interview.
After the phone interview I then was reached out to by another talent acquisition member to schedule a second interview with an employee inside of their Customer Success team. I had a technical issue with that interview and was unable to get in contact with the recruiter for a couple of days and was eventually able to send a message to whom I interviewed with 2 days after the interview.
I then was contacted by the 2nd recruiter a week later to set up a series of 6 online interviews. Each interview went well as I have experience is this type of role. After the interviews I sent the recruiter a message thanking her for setting up the interview and have yet to receive any feedback a week later.
I am actively looking for jobs and really enjoyed learning more about this company, but I have no idea based on the pattern of communication what the next steps will be.
I understand that it is difficult to manage the hiring process for many positions at once, but the overall lack of clarity to the steps of the hiring process are very discouraging.
We appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback. We strive to provide timely communication to all applicants so it is disappointing to hear about your experience. If you would like to discuss this further, don't hesitate to reach out to talentacquisition@workiva.com

Interview
4 stage process.
1. With hiring manager.
2. With Director
3. With team
4. With Panel
Interviews 1 and 2 were straight forward. Pretty informal which is great but unstructured. Interview 3 questions were abit all over the place. A lot of questions were not relevant immediately relevant to the role. However the interviews were nice and friendly. One interviewer was a little quiet and the other was doing most of the heavy lifting.
Seems like they look for more of a culture fit than the right person. Good communications during process but 4 stages for a CSM role is out of order. Between each stage was about 2-3 weeks which is not the norm for SaaS. Pleasant experience with the team but the timeliness really did leave a bad impression. A stage in they did decide to switch up the process.

Interview
The recruiter was late for the interview and immediately after appearing said that they have 2 candidates for this role who are at the final stage and about to accept the offer. I was curious why someone is advertising if the role is almost taken. He also said that he needs to check with the hiring manager if extra language that wasn't listed in the Job Description is needed. He then promised to return back with update the other day and it never happened. Very weird attitude towards the candidates, as people are dedicating time to talk to you, preparing for the call. It is not coming across that you are a valuable person for them at all.
