Applying for the position was very simple. I found it on Craigslist and then also visited the website to get more information about the company and the position. After I applied, I received an email from the Director of HR within 3 days. We scheduled a phone interview which had all of the basic HR screening questions. At the end of the call the HR Director asked me to come in for an interview 2 days later. The 1st in person interview was very typical. I met with the VP of the department and the Director of Operations. They asked me about my past experience, skills I could bring to the team, all typical interview questions. At the end of the interview the told me they would like to welcome me back for a 2nd round interview and to schedule that with the HR Director. Scheduling was simple and happened quickly, I came in 4 days later. The second interview was different. I was told to act as I worked for Wpromote and to pitch to a potential client. They gave me the client's website and a link to the services I would be selling. They didn't tell me if I should put together a formal proposal, a presentation, etc. They wanted to see what I would do with my own volition. I presented to the VP of the team, Director of Ops, and Sales Manager. After my "sales pitch" they asked me questions as if they were the client. It was definitely one of the more challenging interviews I have done, but it made me feel confident that they put a lot of effort into hiring the right people, so therefore I would be surrounded by a great time if I got hired. At the end of the interview they gave me feedback about how I did and told me they would be making a decision by the end of the next week (about a week away). I got a phone call from the HR Director that next Friday (within the stated timeframe), offering me the job.
