Submitted application online. Recruiter reached out and we scheduled a call to review the role and my relevant experience. Recruiter was five minutes late to the call and did not acknowledge or apologize for her tardiness (red flag #1).
Call went well and I was asked to complete a CCAT and personality test via a scheduled Zoom meeting. During the Zoom session a coordinator monitors your activity while you complete the assessments.
Once I completed the assessments I asked the coordinator what additional items I needed to complete before I logged off. I called her name approximately 3 times and another co-worker popped up on the monitor indicating that she left her desk to use the restroom (red flag #2).
I reached out to the recruiter after the assessment to confirm next steps without a reply. I followed up again, this time copying the coordinator and no response (red flag #3).
I have received zero communication from the recruiting team. Not only is this unprofessional, but it indicates a lack of respect for candidate. If a candidate is no longer under consideration, I recommend sending an email confirming the status.
Please remember, that a candidate is a prospective client and a potential future employee. Managing the relationship during the recruiting cycle needs to be prioritized.
This was a frustrating and disappointing experience.
