The technical interview went fine, the recruiter was nice. Everything on that front was fine. I would of gave this a good review if that was it. Where it got weird was talking to the higher ups. After literally waiting 3 weeks , the people I talked to cared a lot about some really random information, past roles at tiny companies I worked at 5+ years ago, questions about my managers that was hard to remember from so long ago. It felt like a strange interrogation Not sure what goal they were trying to achieve by an interview like that, but there was a disconnect. Also they wanted to pay me significantly less than what I make now, so I am ok with their decision.
