I applied for the same position twice within a year apart. Both of them were through a referral. The first one was with the team/product manager. He was 40 minutes late and wasn't interested in talking. Turned out he forgot he had an interview with me. I was the one who had to ask the questions to get him into talking and drag out the conversation. It was supposed to be an hour long interview but he had attend another meeting and I only had 15 minutes with him tops. Never got another interview and got rejected without any reason. The other interview was a coding interview when I applied for the second time though a referral. The interviewer had a condescending attitude. The coding question was very easy. I asked him if I should start with an optimal solution since I solved a similar problem for a project and I also asked him some other clarification questions, and he said lets start with something simple. Within a few minutes, he was upset and impatient that I didn't start with the optimal solution despite the fact I asked him, which got me stuttering and lose confidence. I was rejected within hours. I walked through the interview question with the person who referred me and was surprised that I was rejected since my answer was correct, and that he was friends with the interviewer and was surprised of his behavior.
