I applied online through a Glassdoor advertisement. I was sent a general Hackerrank test at the start of the process with 1 question to be solved in 30 minutes. There was also to be a chat with a recruiter and a systems design question. I was not able to complete the process due to other commitments but overall the recruiter was friendly and I would be happy to speak again.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Yelp (London, England) in Feb 2019
Interview
There were four stages:
- Skype conversation with the HR
- A 30 minute coding challenge on HacherRank
- Technical interview
- Onsite interview consisting of a non-technical and a technical part
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
- The python coding parts mainly involved working with dictionaries.
- The technical parts were on hypothesis testing and experimentation.
- The HR part was on standard HR questions like why yelp etc.
- No feedback was provided despite having gone to the final interview which was disappointing.
