I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Yelp (New York, NY) in May 2019
Interview
3 interviews, two on the phone and one in person. Pretty simple just need to take their feedback and implement it when answering questions. First interview was quick and on the phone, need to answer the why sales question. Next interview was in person in the New York office. First half was a group interview where we viewed a video about the sales role and then discussed it with fellow interviewees. The next part was a one on one interview with a role play scenario.
I applied online. I interviewed at Yelp (Atlanta, GA) in Apr 2026
Interview
Interview was smooth. I was given good information about pay, culture, and what is expected of an inside sales representative on typical day. I was also allowed to ask question.
Everyone was super nice and very clearly proud of Yelp culture. The communication was quick and clear on expectations of the interview and onboarding process. Both the recruiter and the hiring managers were very insightful about the business and offered great feedback to my mock call.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They had me run through a mock sales call twice with feedback in between.
It was okay, the salary is quite low and does not match the market for similar roles. I think that the actual interview is not hard, but it is hard to stay motivated knowing the salary number.
