I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Yelp (San Francisco, CA) in Aug 2013
Interview
On campus interview, followed by briefing phone call, followed by Skype interview. The initial phone call was essentially an assessment of your ability to follow directions and hold a conversation. Nothing tricky, make sure you know enough about the product that Yelp tries to sell. The skype interview was a 3 part interview with 3 separate people, each of which presented a different situation for you to work through.

Question 1
Real sales situations, most difficult question was to sell your favorite product. Make sure to take cues from your interviewer.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Yelp (Austin, TX) in May 2026
Interview
The interview process was pleasant from start to finish. It included a recruiter phone screen, a video call with the sales manager, a role play exercise, and the opportunity to implement the manager’s feedback.

Question 1
One question they asked during my interview was what specifically about the role made me feel it was a strong fit for my background and experience.
The interview process with Yelp was a very organized experience. From the first email after I put in my application, to the offer extension call, I always felt well informed and included.
It was a one time interview over video call with a pre call before. One on one with a training manager. Pretty simple not too hard at all. Lasted 30 minutes with questions and role plays.
