First one was a phone interview. Standard questions, tell me about yourself, strengths/weaknesses etc. Gave more information about the job. Make around 80 cold calls a day and the weekly sales goal is two accounts.
Second interview was via Skype and had role-play and situational questions. Spoke to three managers separately. The first we went through the process of setting up an appointment. Second we worked on responding to a customer who decided to use a different advertising company. The third had no role-play, just asked some more personal questions. For the first two managers they gave feedback and each successive manager asked what that feedback was.

What is something that your family or friends would say about you that you wouldn't agree with?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Yelp (Austin, TX) in May 2026
Interview
The interview process was pleasant from start to finish. It included a recruiter phone screen, a video call with the sales manager, a role play exercise, and the opportunity to implement the manager’s feedback.

Question 1
One question they asked during my interview was what specifically about the role made me feel it was a strong fit for my background and experience.
The interview process with Yelp was a very organized experience. From the first email after I put in my application, to the offer extension call, I always felt well informed and included.
It was a one time interview over video call with a pre call before. One on one with a training manager. Pretty simple not too hard at all. Lasted 30 minutes with questions and role plays.
