I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Yelp (San Francisco, CA) in Jul 2009
Interview
phone interview consisted of just knowing more about me- my phone vibe and how well I could build a repoire with a stranger- part of the job!
On site interview consisted of interviewing with either the sales managers or team managers. Asking common sense things like when's the best time to call a coffee shop and who should you speak to? How would you sell this chair to me? How do you deal with rejection. etc
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Yelp (Austin, TX) in May 2026
Interview
The interview process was pleasant from start to finish. It included a recruiter phone screen, a video call with the sales manager, a role play exercise, and the opportunity to implement the manager’s feedback.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
One question they asked during my interview was what specifically about the role made me feel it was a strong fit for my background and experience.
The interview process with Yelp was a very organized experience. From the first email after I put in my application, to the offer extension call, I always felt well informed and included.
It was a one time interview over video call with a pre call before. One on one with a training manager. Pretty simple not too hard at all. Lasted 30 minutes with questions and role plays.
