I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Yelp in Jul 2014
Interview
First is a phone interview, which talks about very basic things pertaining to the job, and if they feel as if they like you, they'll call you in to a second interview. There, you'll be speaking to 3 people separately, where you'll conduct interviews. The building itself (SF) looks great, but if you aren't a persuasive, sales-minded person, you probably won't get the job! Also, this is a high volume cold calling job.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Yelp (Austin, TX) in May 2026
Interview
The interview process was pleasant from start to finish. It included a recruiter phone screen, a video call with the sales manager, a role play exercise, and the opportunity to implement the manager’s feedback.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
One question they asked during my interview was what specifically about the role made me feel it was a strong fit for my background and experience.
The interview process with Yelp was a very organized experience. From the first email after I put in my application, to the offer extension call, I always felt well informed and included.
It was a one time interview over video call with a pre call before. One on one with a training manager. Pretty simple not too hard at all. Lasted 30 minutes with questions and role plays.
