I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Yelp (New York, NY) in May 2015
Interview
I received a referral from a friend who currently works there. That got me an automatic phone interview. The interview was simple, they really just wanted to check out your personality. Then, I met 2 hiring managers for 2 separate 30 min interviews on site. I come from an acting background, so it was easier for me to take their direction when role playing. THIS IS IMPORTANT. I practiced tons of role play scenarios with friends and this REALLY helped me. I was very prepared for almost everything they asked me. Both of the managers made me feel very comfortable. Easy to talk to! Then, I had 2 more phone interviews and a Webinar. It's a very extensive process, but if you get invited to attend the welcome webinar, you can breathe a sigh of relief!! You probably got the job! (I can't say that for certain, but that is what I read online and it was true for me as well).
