Very quick phone call. Open ended questions about why sales and how often I use the platform. They are remote which is nice. Multi step process which is around 3 rounds. Just speak on why you love sales and commission and you should have the job. Very easy
I applied online. I interviewed at Yelp (Portland, OR) in Jun 2026
Interview
Disorganized and confusing. The recruiter seemed to be discontented and discouraging on every level and for an unknown reason. I don't even know why she bothered to call me. Aspiring to continue my graduate psychology education (in two years) was a negative in her eyes even though human psychology drives motivations and teaches selling techniques that are advantageous in this field. One should be allowed to explore their future options in life without being penalized in an interview for an entry level job that the entire online community says is toxic and not worth the trouble.
Very intense and I’m great at sales and they seemed to dislike my very friendly attitude. I think they want more aggressive tactics, even though I’ve been a top seller at my other companies.

Question 1
They setup different scenarios where you get turned down and they want you to try and convince the customer to spend money on yelp.
Very friendly very nice and informative interview process. Went into the role and my own qualifications. Discovered what working there would look like and how I can add to the team
