Interview
I was contacted over AngelList. First had a phone interview with a technical recruiter which was exactly as other people on Glassdoor had described: Questions asking about my experience, three things I was looking for in a place to work, if I wanted to move to San Francisco, etc. followed by a list of technical knowledge-based questions. She was very upfront about it being basically just a list of standard questions they ask everyone. Basically all of the questions I was asked or a variation of them I found on glassdoor ahead of time.
I preceded from there to have a Skype interview with a developer at the company. He was 15 minutes late, but seemed nice enough. He asked me about my knowledge of network concepts like how http works, what happens when you hit enter after typing a URL into your browser, what are the details of how the tcp/ip layer works. Then he had me talk through an algorithm for the problem below, then we proceeded to code up the problem in my language of choice but ran out of time due to him being late.
