Applied directly Yelp after finding out about a recent opening for Software Engineers, e.g. Computer Science. One of the recruiters got back to me a day after and we'd arrange a phone interview for a week later. The interview was quite easy, with the recruiter (not an engineer) barking out mostly short answer Unix and basic data structure questions in true bullet-format style. Questions like "would it generally be better to run a binary search on a sorted array, or a linked list?" Study your Unix commands. It was certainly one of my easier interviews when I look back at it. I hesitated and actually changed some of my answers from correct to incorrect due to nervousness from a lack of interview experience. Come prepared and just know that Yelp isn't trying to trick you and you should get the nod for the second round.
