I first received a call from a recruiter- which felt like a pre-screening process and ended being a telephone interview. He asked me several scenario questions like- how would you work with an uncooperative teenager? The first in-person interview was at the office. YV was in an office building with other small to medium sized businesss- highly unusual for a supposedly non-profit agency. The supervisor had about a 10-13 page list of questions. He kept firing them at me, looking down at the paper and never looking up at me. I tried to show body language that I was very uncomfortable but he kept on going. I thought the 90 minute interview was NEVER going to end. I felt like he cared more about completing the form than about me. The second interview was with the regional director. The person was nice and there were only a few questions. Overall, I felt that the interview process was grueling. The staff did everything they could to provide as a little information as possible during the interview process and to spin things in a way that would not give you a sense of how they operated until you either spoke with current staff or you do the research on this site, which is wish I did in the first place.
