I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Zillow (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
Very smooth. Had an initial call with the recruiter call, then a call with hiring manager to make sure it was a good fit. Scheduled and went through a full loop (4-5 30 min interviews) - these were done virtually and were smooth. Finally, reconnected with the recruiter for the offer.

Question 1
Standard questions about experience, influence, conflict, and strategy; Definitely focused on values alignment (which I appreciated).

Other Principal Program Manager Interview Reviews for Zillow
I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Zillow in Jan 2024
Interview
Overall a lengthly process. 7 full weeks from recruiter screen to rejection call. The process included 7 interviews (recruiter, hiring manager, 4 stakeholders, another with hiring manager). Also consisted of a candidate exercise to review a set of data, and find solutions to solve the problem. And lastly a second exercise to submit examples of business writing. After all that, I was identified as one of the top 2 candidates, however they felt my experience was more suited to solving problems, rather than identifying problems. The recruiter was absolutely amazing throughout this process though, she kept me updated, informed, and was a pleasure to work with.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Zillow (Seattle, WA) in Nov 2016
Interview
By far the best interviewing experience I've EVER had. Extremely responsive, timely feedback from the recruiting staff and team. At my level I'm used to it taking 2-3 months to get through the entire hiring process. From application to verbal offer the entire process took under 1 month. During my on-site I was provided snacks and everyone was super friendly. All interviewers made me feel very comfortable. I was challenged but never felt like I was being set up to fail. I'm enormously impressed with the culture (what company feedback system do you know that is based on "Karma" points?) and diversity awareness. PLEASE give Zillow a chance if you are looking for a great place to work!
