I applied online. I interviewed at Zoom Communications (San Jose, CA)
Interview
I appreciate the opportunity to interview; however, the overall process felt rushed and disorganized. The hiring manager expressed an intent to make a decision within three days while scheduling four separate interviews, which created unnecessary pressure and confusion. This approach didn’t allow for meaningful dialogue or thoughtful evaluation on either side. The experience felt more like checking boxes than genuinely assessing fit or alignment. I’d encourage Zoom to focus on quality over speed and ensure candidates have a fair, transparent, and respectful experience moving forward.

Question 1
The job is remote out of California but the hiring manager based in Dallas, TX. Tell me about yourself and generic questions. He wanted me to ask more questions than he did.

Interview
Interview was good - the recruiter was not very welcoming in the beginning but once she warmed up, it was a good experience overall. Didn't like that initial screening was a video conference, wasn't used to that at all.
