I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Zoom Communications (Chicago, IL) in Apr 2021
Interview
I pulled myself out after the second step.
1) Recruiter screen -- started out fairly normal, but then started getting quizzed on random technical questions. I was caught off guard, but it just seemed odd to be asked those kinds of things for a senior level role (8+ years).
2) Technical Test - this is where I just gave up. The job position I was posting for was for a senior role in Microservice development with Spring and NoSQL databases. My test had me writing MySQL stored procedures and then random Java LeetCode style questions.
To me, it didn't line up a senior level role or really the job description at all. I realize they're trying to filter people out, but the random, almost trivia like questions along with questions that are not at all related to the job description were a turn off for me.

coding interview will focus on problem resolving. it is not a leecode style, testing coverage is not necessary. But walk through the solution, analysis complexity and implementation is important. Don't forget to clarify questions
