Interview
The overall process took about 2 weeks. I was reached out by a recruiter interested in a chat and to schedule an initial phone screen. The call went smooth, asking questions about why zoox and some things on my resume, pretty standard. A week later, it was a phone call with the hiring manager on the team I'd be working with. The interviewer was a bit arrogant when it came to talking about the company. Coming from a smaller start up in the AV/ADAS industry, I felt like they were projecting this "better than you" attitude when I explained about how Zoox compared to the current company I was at. The interviewer didn't really ask about things on my resume, but rather if I knew the appropriate jargon.

Interview
I applied to a role and then was pivoted to another by the recruiting team. I interviewed with a few different people and was then ghosted. No follow up, no care for candidate experience. As someone in recruiting myself, I was relieved to see this early and not continue in process.
Follow up is really important - whether that follow up is a yes, no, or no update yet.
The team is very involved and offers a great candidate experience. They are really knowledgeable about the company and offer great compensation packages. Overall, I think offering both remote and in person interviews was a nice touch to my interview experience.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Zoox (Foster City, CA)
Interview
I was contacted by the recruiter to have a 30 mins phone screen. Most of the questions were standard more of an intro. The recruiter said that will provide an update but never heard back. Suggestion: if you waste someone’s 30 mins make sure to send that rejection template as an update instead of ghosting candidates.
