How do you stay organized?
Tell me about a time you worked in a team.
I ended up meeting my interviewer the evening before at the EY Candidates Reception. I felt that a lot of questions that would be asked during the formal interview got answered right there. As a result I think my actual formal interview was weak.
When was a time that you expected to fail but came through in the end?
Did not expect them to ask technical questions, but was able to answer them. 1. How do you value a company? Walk me through your steps. 2. Does a utility firm or a biotech firm have a higher PE? 3. How do you calculate WACC? 4. How would you recommend a firm to optimize its WACC? 5. FCFF vs FCFE 6. Others are all behavioral. Know your DCF and basic valuation methods. Be personable.

What is consulting?
The case study really wasn't very difficult. I wish I'd taken their advice they gave on their website to take a few moments to plan my answers to the questions they ask. The nerves got the best of me and I answered each one immediately. I think I could've given better answers had I thought about my answers more.
Tell me about a time you had to think outside the box. Tell me about a time when you had to deal with a difficult coworker/team member. Tell me about yourself. Why EY? Most complicated thing you have done on Excel. Tell me about a time you had to make a big transition in life and how did you deal with it.
