The question about PLL finally got me stuck.
Everything is technical, but maybe simple. Admittedly, I don't know every answer, but I tried to analyze things and just get through the quesitons. This is the most technical interview I had ever experienced during my job search.
I was mostly asked about my resume over the phone. The talk was not easy due to dialect and fast paced questions that were asked without specific details. Very hard communications. It seemed like they were in a rush to find someone who can do the job right away. I did not get any other interviews since I felt that they wanted someone that can design the product right away.
1) Simple op-amp question analysis at DC 2) Input impedance with feedback of some FETs 3) RLC questions
Analog Circuits : Since I had some project work in PLLs I was asked where exactly a flipflop or a delay element should be added in the PLL loop, to resolve a glitch or to ensure that the PLL locks. Device Physics : How does mobility of electrons/holes vary with gate voltage in a MOSFET
They asked me to design a two-stage op-amp, explain each stage, its gain, frequency response, and how I'd ensure stability using compensation techniques.
