Analytics Interview Questions

"When you apply for a job in the field of analytics, you can expect to be asked technical questions and given math problems that will test your knowledge of statistical math and data management and analysis. The interviewer may test your critical thinking and decision making skills by having you solve word problems on the spot, as you will be expected to know how to gather insights into and draw conclusions from the data you collect on the job. Analytics is a broad field, and the technical questions you are asked will depend on the position you are applying for."

Test adminsitration may vary, as it may appear those of a certain persuasion receive them... who knows (I hope that the company social media referee feels this a 'safer' attitude, without them getting into their feelings when replying for a second time)

3. Suppose you're on a game show, and you're given the choice of three doors: Behind one door is a car; behind the others, goats. You pick a door, say No. 1, and the host, who knows what's behind the doors, opens another door, say No. 3, which has a goat. He then says to you, "Do you want to pick door No. 2?" Is it to your advantage to switch your choice?

The technical interviewer asked me literally everything from regression, classification, PCA, sentiment analysis to deep learning, Design of Experiments and Big Data technologies etc. I know it sounds stupid, it is impossible to have hands on production environment experience on all these technologies unless you are in teaching field that too only on sample data sets. May be there are some 100 professionals in the whole world who got scope in corporate sector to work on all these techniques to solve real business problems. The interviewer also asked many scenario based questions, specifically potential challenges a group like Domino's in India could have and how I would approach addressing those questions.
