The questions were complex, which was absolutely appropriate for the position. The problem was that 30 minutes was not enough time to answer each question fully. For example, one question asked how I would design a study to measure the effects of land use on freshwater streams taking into account factors x, y, and z.
What my background was in movement training and how I could apply that to an aquatic fitness program?
How would you handle difficult feedback from a customer?
What would you bring to the team?
Do you have experience? Have you swam before? Are you comfortable being in the pool? Etc
What one skill sets you apart from other applicants? What kind of experience do you have working on or around boats?
The interview was a breeze, there were no difficult questions.
