First stage consisted of a HR (behavioural based) and technical interview. A simple situation was give for the technical interview regarding a drillstring. The second round consisted of a case study, which was done in a group assessment type environment. A piping route was to be selected from a list of options given varying conditions. Beware of BP and its culture of Nepotism. A young lady was eventually selected for the role, whose father is currently an engineer at the same office. This was also the case for the Drilling engineer role, where a young man was selected, whose father also works in the company. Bottom line...regardless of how good you are, if you're up against someone who has family at BP, your chances are slim to none.
