I applied online through the BP careers website and was notified that I got an interview less than three weeks later. The interview was an OnDemand interview. It took place similar to a skype interview however there was not a person on the other end. A short video would play with a question and 30 seconds later your computer started recording your response. It was a little uncomfortable not directly talking to someone and questions were just an ok level of difficulty.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
There were about ten multi-part questions asking about background experience. Having a previous internship would help greatly when answering these.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at bp (Anchorage, AK) in Oct 2011
Interview
Interviewed with BP beginning of my senior year of university on campus. First, went to the pre-career fair mixer and met all the BP recruiters. Attended a BP information session, again talked to as many of the recruiters as possible. Went to the actual career fair where I spent most of my time at the BP booth talking to current employees and recruiters. Got a call that evening requesting for a 1:1 interview the next day. The interview was ~1:45 long. First half was personal/behavioral type questions, second half was a technical question. The technical question was not hard and did not require any calculations - they just want to see your thought process.
I got a call about a week after the first interview requesting a second interview at the job location. Was flown out a week later to site for the second interview. The second interview was a 45 min long behavior interview. Received a call the next day with a full-time job offer that could not be refused.
