Reached the technical stage of the interview process for BP's trading graduate programme. The process works as follows; 1) online application form, 2) online numerical and verbal tests, 3) telephone interview, 4) technical interview, 5) assessment centre. The telephone interview focuses on standard competency questions such as leadership, motivation, etc, and the technical interview focuses on your knowledge of the oil markets and ability to analyse data and make calculations.

Question 1
Was given a trading scenario in a technical interview on trading oil across different geographical markets; had to calculate Profit and Loss figures on the fly and was judged on the basis of being able to work with data and make calculations quickly.
Online assessment and video interview as normal. Then technical interview invitation.
2 interviewers.
Clear structure and prompt feedback but couldn't see the ideal candidate persona. Hope the feedback could've been more straightforward.
The first round was online, behavioral. The second round was a month later, Technical interview on a call was two-hour-long case study, arbitrage calculations, an analytical approach to Commodities Trading, and an Industry overview. I believe BP has a third round of Group Interviews to observe your leadership skills and check your analytical thinking, But I got an offer after the technical interview.
