I applied through college or university. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at bp in Nov 2014
Interview
Contacted by a recruiter from on-campus resume book. Phone interview consisted of standard behavioral questions and a situational case. The case question was lengthy and consisted of multiple "twists". In total the interview lasted about 2 hours.

Question 1
"You are a HR Manager at a refinery and have been approached by a supervisor seeking advice on how to manage the performance of an employee who is struggling at work due to personal issues - what advice do you give your supervisor?"
It was an easy interview, I would say. I was very nervous, and they tried to make some jokes and comfort me, They told me they will contact me end of the month.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at bp (Kuala Lumpur) in Jun 2025
Interview
Overall, it was not a very smooth or pleasant experience. The role seemed more like a pipeline position rather than an immediate hiring need, as it was reposted again after three months. During the interview, the focus was heavily on extracting detailed information about current company experience, rather than providing insights into the role, the organization itself, or sharing the BP culture. The experience did not fully reflect BP’s stated value of ‘Care for Others'.
