I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at bp (Singapore) in Aug 2024
Interview
Applied through linkedin. 1st interview was technical with chief engineer fleet and HR from Singapore. Plenty questions regarding technical operation/issues onboard LNG carriers. 2nd interview was with same HR and another lady, regarding safety, human leadership etc. They were completely outsiders, you cannot speak about your onboard experiences because they are office girls. The offer was very low for the market average, more exactly, salary on par with bulk carriers, not LNG. Process for employment very strict, plenty documents, they like to keep you 1 month stby to make background check, like marine engineers documents/endorsements/courses/sea service history are made in neighbour garage.
