During the interview process, expect to be grilled on your knowledge of the codes you will be enforcing and your techniques for dealing with citizens who are working outside the code. When they ask about any officer safety questions, they're looking for you to say you'd leave and get to safety and call the cops. A lot of former cops interview for this position and say they'd stay and argue or try to get compliance and fail the interview. Remember that they can only grade you on what you answer. So don't assume because you mentioned you did code before or were a cop they can also fill in the blanks. Say what you did or didn't do as part of your job, things you enforced etc...
