First, they sat me down at a computer and gave me two tasks. One was to create a social media post, complete with graphic/photo and appropriate hashtags, and the second was to format and edit a letter from the CEO/Founder that was deliberately riddled with about 100 errors: spelling, punctuation, formatting, capitalisation, etc. Absurdly, they gave me 10 minutes to create both, and then returned after only 5 minutes, hovering over my shoulder and asking when I'd be finished. I suppose they wanted to see how quickly and accurately I could work under pressure, but the message it actually sent was that speed in more important than quality.
