weakness became strength
I wasn't asked any technical questions except questions regarding my past experiences with Java programming and the size of projects I worked on before. They asked me if I have heard about the company before and I told them a rough outline of what they did, to which they replied, "It sounds like you just got that off the website!" They re-explained the question, meaning if I've heard of AECL on the news, from a friend, etc... That was the only thing that threw me off.
Describe one of the projects that you worked on and what role you played in its development
What was the most difficult project you have worked on and why? How did you overcome these difficulties?
What are PID algorithms?
Most were standard, expected questions. The only thing that was unexpected was they asked me about a bunch of technologies, some of which I wasn't familiar with. They asked about Ghost, imaging, TCP / IP, various networking terms, and lots more. They had a huge list of products and technologies that they wanted to know my experience or knowledge of each one.
The technical round consisted of a take home coding assignment in Python with data given to you by the interviewer in a zip file. I was tasked with reading the data, extracting, processing, and displaying data. Altogether, this was a solid coding assignment that tested the ability to deliver a coding solution and the ability to write clean and efficient code.
