Concierge Interview Questions

"Concierges play a big role in the customer service and relations of company. During an interview for this position expect to be asked about how you would handle certain situations dealing with dissatisfied, disgruntled, or angry customers. No educational requirements are necessary, but a background in customer service and communication is highly valued."

Most unexpected question was when they ask you to name a time in your career history when you have created a new idea or took charge and made a positive change on a former company and the way the business ran. The question itself is not difficult, but I feel for the Concierge position and the people applying for that title may have too limited of a background in taking charge to sound confident in their answer. (I may be wrong but I feel that question is better suited for supervisor or assistant manager prospects)

I always find the most difficult questions are when they ask you to say specific good things and bad things about yourself because I find it hard to talk to strangers about myself. All of the questions asked were very thorough and geared toward the position, which I found refreshing, as it helped me gage then and there whether the position was a good fit for me while they gaged whether I was a good fit for it.
